We practice within a defined circle and refer thoughtfully outside it. Below is what we handle, in plain English, with the kind of detail you would want before picking up the phone.
Entity formation (LLCs, S-corps, professional corporations), operating and shareholder agreements, vendor and supplier contracts, asset and stock purchase agreements, dissolution and partner buy-outs, and the day-to-day commercial questions that owners would rather not handle alone.
Breach of contract, business torts, mechanic's liens, collections, partnership disputes, and selected consumer protection matters. We handle pre-suit demand, mediation, and trial in the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas and the surrounding eight-county region.
Simple and pour-over wills, revocable living trusts, durable powers of attorney, healthcare directives, beneficiary designation reviews, and the full administration of estates through the Cuyahoga County Probate Court.
Residential and small-commercial closings, title curative work, easements and right-of-way disputes, landlord–tenant counsel, lease drafting, eviction defense, and zoning variances before municipal boards.
Employee handbooks, offer letters, non-solicitation and confidentiality agreements, separation and severance review, wage-and-hour audits, and unemployment hearings. We represent both employers and individual employees, but never simultaneously.
A flat-fee monthly retainer for owner-operators: unlimited reasonable email, two scheduled calls per month, document review up to a defined cap, and priority intake on any litigation that arises. Designed for businesses that want a lawyer they can text.
Standard rate $295/hr, billed in six-minute increments. Invoices issued monthly with a detailed time narrative on every line.
Most estate planning, formation, and routine real estate matters are quoted as a flat fee at engagement, with no surprises.
Advisory retainer plans begin at $850/month for small businesses, with defined scope and a cancel-any-time policy.
Yes. The first 25 minutes are free. After that, if the matter requires substantive analysis we will quote a paid consultation or move directly to an engagement letter.
We routinely appear in Cuyahoga, Lake, Lorain, Geauga, Medina, Summit, Portage, Stark, and Mahoning counties. Outside that area we will refer or appear pro hac vice depending on the matter.
For most transactional and advisory work, yes. We use secure document portals and video conferencing. Court appearances and closings, of course, happen in person.
Selectively. We do not handle personal injury or class action work. For commercial collection and certain business-tort matters we will consider contingency or hybrid arrangements.
Once an engagement letter is signed and a retainer received, substantive work usually begins within two business days. Emergency matters can be opened the same day.
Call us. We will tell you in five minutes whether your matter is something we can take on, something we should refer, or something you do not actually need a lawyer for.
